What we do

SATCD’s Health and Nutrition pillar is framed around integrated Primary Health Care services as an entry point for humanitarian response. This approach brings health promotion, maternal health and nutrition together with community resilience and livelihood support.

Malnutrition prevention and management are central to this framework, linked with food security, resilience and livelihoods programming. The focus is on strengthening communities’ access to health information, essential support and nutritious food.

Through kitchen gardening, SATCD has distributed certified seeds, gunny bags and other farm inputs to help families grow nutritious food at home and strengthen household food security.

SATCD has also supported menstrual health education and access to dignity kits among adolescent school-going children, helping students manage their periods with dignity.
